Mike great work in a this but I find the date system really difficult to read. Could we have them in a system that makes it easy to read say '10th January 2014'? Thanks for your consideration. Jon Davies (WMUK) (talk) 17:35, 15 November 2013 (UTC)

They're in standard YYYY-MM-DD format... :-/ Having them in text format would mean that they're no longer sortable. Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 17:43, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
Actually dates in many formats (including 10 January 2014) are sortable - see w:help:sorting. Thryduulf (talk: local | en.wp | en.wikt) 23:22, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
{{sort}}
Then again, perhaps it's worth considering what purpose a sortable table serves here. The content is already sorted by date, and sorting text alphabetically isn't a great navigational aid, serving only to group similar items. But it's not my table. OK, I've now implemented the more readable date format, thanks Richard for setting up the template. Having the table sortable is useful to me so that I can sort it by the meeting type easily. I'd rather we put more effort into making sure that the project works well, and there's more information (and more accurate information) available on this wiki about it, than worrying about this sort of thing though.
