About the Event
This event is part of the DataFest Fringe.
It is an introduction to using Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons and Wikidata, designed to get participants interested in engaging with the Wikimedia projects and using some of the volunteer-made tools which make the Wikimedia projects more fun.

- Can you add a photo of a listed building using WikiShootMe or Monumental?
- Can you create your userpage on English Wikipedia?
- Can you fix a typo on English Wikipedia? Wikipedia:Community portal
- Can you add a sentence to a stub article? Wikipedia:Community portal
- Have you listened to Wikipedia?
- Have you uploaded a picture to Wikimedia Commons?
- Have you found a picture in Geograph that could be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, using the Geograph to Commons tool?
- Have you found a picture on Flickr that could be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, using the Flickr2Commons tool?
- Could you make a timeline of Category A Listed buildings in Aberdeen, using Histropedia?
- Could you add items to that timeline from the List of Category A listed buildings in Aberdeen on Wikipedia?
- Could you explore example queries on Wikidata
- Could you add the instance of Cairn property to one of these wikidata items, and help to better describe Scotland?
- Have you played The Wikidata Game?
- Have you explored your location with the Wikipedia Text Adventure? Could you add a location?
