- I don't get too involved in this, through technical ignorance, but I understand the urgent needs include work over the next fundraiser, for which I suspect 1 day per wk is probably not enough. If we get can someone flexible enough to increase workload to accomodate this then this could be a way forward imo. Johnbod (talk) 19:05, 22 August 2012 (UTC)
- I'm still looking for someone with knowledge of what exactly is needed for the fundraiser to give me a detailed list (anyone??). Then I could factor this in more. But, yes, if the solution is to put overtime plus several days into one week to get the fundraiser done. Or if the contract ran for 6 months with two days per week. - I can recommend the talk at Wikimania this year on the WMF's fundraiser "under the hood". As luck would have it, it has just been uploaded on Youtube! See here. WMUK's fundraising needs aren't as much as that (lower volume, and we can piggy-back on the WMF's work to some extent) but it gives you an idea of what is involved in running a fundraiser. --Tango (talk) 19:43, 22 August 2012 (UTC)
