Project description

Describe project activities. What will you use the funding to do?

This contest is a general stub elimination and article improvement contest, mainly sponsored by the Open Knowledge Association (OKA) along with Wikimedia UK, in the vein of the highly successful European Destubathon contest, with the intention to cover all the topics and countries of the world. The idea is simple: Try to have a lot of fun in blasting away as many of our 3.9 million stubs as possible.

Describe your plan for evaluating this project. How will you measure success? What types of things will you measure (e.g. content, participants)?

The article-readable prose, excluding sources and lists, will have to be a minimum of 1,500 bytes (1.5 KB) to comply with the contest.

Identify key people involved in this project. How will or could the wider Wikimedian community be involved?

Dr. Blofeld is organising and running it by himself, but will contact many of the past contestants and regular contributors to his challenges to participate.

If applicable, identify partnering organisations for this project (not essential)

The Open Knowledge Association (OKA)

Budget

£250 with additional funding from OKA.
