Briefly describe the issue or problem that motivates this application. What needs are you meeting?

We aim to work towards closing information gaps related to gender, feminism, and the arts, beginning with Wikipedia, and adding to Welsh (minority) language Wici.

Describe project activities. What will you use the funding to do?

We will spend an afternoon of communal updating of Wikipedia entries on subjects related to gender, art and feminism at Sploj, Machynlleth, in both English and Welsh. This will include training and targeted support. The event will be open to the public.

Describe your plan for evaluating this project. How will you measure success? What types of things will you measure (e.g. content, participants)?

We will measure success through feedback from participants and will also have the figures related to the amount of content added/edited.

Identify key people involved in this project. How will or could the wider Wikimedian community be involved?

Gemma Coleman (Wikipedia UK) and local participants from the community.
