To have an online resource of every building in Uk with its past and present use

Outline[edit | edit source]

The idea would be for people to get involved in producing a database of every home and building in the country. Giving its past and previous inhabitants and also land use prior to the building being built, on inputting an address or post code we would have a whole history of a unit of land. There could be links to each individual who had ever lived there, geneolically very useful.

Benefits[edit | edit source]

It would produce an amazing topographical insight to our country, Hopefully, with the interest in local history at the moment many different bodies would become involved, individuals, schools, universities, churches, societies, etc

Requirements[edit | edit source]

I do not know about funding, but it would grow and be much better than google earth

Volunteering[edit | edit source]

Only my own at the moment, Heather Crook, but I am sure there are thousands out there that would become a part of it. If you're interested in helping out with this proposal, please sign below with *~~~
