Theme

This event will focus on improving content relating to all aspects of Welsh law (the laws of Hywel Dda), it's origins, development and significance. Welsh Law had its origins in Celtic law and was codified by the Welsh King Hywel Dda (the good) in the mid-10th century and elements of these laws were enacted in Wales until the act of union (1535-1542) introduced English law to Wales. Editors will be encouraged to improve pages directly related to Hywel Dda and Welsh law as well as articles relating to the development of Medieval law in general, women's rights and medieval crime and punishment, for example. Editors can work in any language they like, and Welsh speakers will be encouraged to improve related content on the Welsh Language Wicipedia
